Cataract Healing

Cataract Healing

I’ve spent more than 30 years exploring the many dimensions of eye health, and over that time I have seen many changes in eye care. Some of these changes have been positive.

Thirty years ago, there was only one solution for cataracts: Surgery.

Cataracts surgeryBack then, it was virtually impossible to find an eye doctor who thought there might be any alternative to cataract surgery. And why should they bother to look for one? Cataract surgery costs about $3-4,000 an eye. Cataract surgery is the most commonly performed surgery in the United States. Paying for cataract surgery is Medicare’s #1 expenditure, with approximately 1.3 million cataract surgeries paid for each year.

All of these facts and figures demonstrate two things:

  1. Everyone agrees, and the facts seem to confirm, that cataracts are an inevitable result of growing older.
  2. A lot of people are making a lot of money in the business of providing cataract surgery and cataract post-surgery care.

Why would any doctor/businessperson in their right mind want to give up the chance to earn more than $3,000 for less than an hour’s worth of work and instead recommend an alternative that would dramatically reduce his income, save the government billions of dollars a year and naturally prolong the eyesight of the aging population?

Well, in spite of those forces working against it, there has been more and more research conducted during the last 20 years demonstrating that supplements, diet and exercise can delay the onset of cataracts and slow or halt their progression. Yet, the knowledge that eye health can be promoted and maintained by simple steps available to anybody has not made it into general awareness.

Spreading the word about vision is the purpose of this blog!

My mother has advanced cataracts. We have tried many alternatvie methods to dissolve thm but have nt had much success. We still believe there is a natural cure. She would really like to avoid surgery. If you have any sugesstions we would appreciate it. Thank you.

Sometimes, it may be too late to avoid surgery. Conditions have deteriorate so far that other options are limited. But that final call should be up to your mother and her trusted family. To a large degree it depends on how much she experiences the cataracts interfering with her vision now, and if she would be content with her vision stabilizing – or improving -for the net 6 months or so.
Dr. Gary Price Todd addresses this issue in his audio. Have you (re-)listened to that?

6 years ago I had Cataract surgery in my right eye
I did have some sight BEFORE the surgery …BUT almost NO SIGHT post surgery
I have a cataract in my left eye but will not have surgery again
I get scorned by my current ophthalmologist and can get no answers from either him or the one who performed the surgery as to what could have gone wrong
I would like to knowa) what I can do to slow down the groth or even (HOPE) reduce /dissolve the left cataract or 2) if there is anything I can do to improve my sight in the right eye
    3) any explanation as to what could have happened
I am diagonosed as having Glaucoma too ….so any imput there would be valued

I’m really sorry too hear about your eye problems over the years. With so many different problems I’m sure you’re very worried and frustrated.

Our approach to healing is always: the right nutritional supplements, the proper dietary changes, good exercise and relaxation for the eyes, and a proper mental attitude.

You have to take the time to educate yourself about the best ways to take care of your eyes.

I was told I had cataracts forming. I started dropping two drops of castor oil in each eye at bedtime each night. Three and a half weeks later I was re-checked at the eye clinic and they found no evidence of cataracts at all. Castor oil! Just google “castor oil dissolves cataracts” and see what comes up for you to learn about this natural remedy to dissolve your cataracts without surgery!
