OCU-OMEGA: Fish Oil with LuteinGet your essential fatty acids from Ocu-Omega, the ultra-pure, molecularly distilled and highest-quality Fish Oil Concentrate that won’t leave a fishy taste. For an extra boost to your vision, Ocu-Omega also contains Lutein and Zeaxanthin. Research has proven that essential fatty acids help cataracts.

Years ago, Dr. Gary Price Todd, the eye doctor who developed the original EYEMAX-plus formula, told all his patients:

“Throw away the margarine – it’s not good for you, and it’s not good for your eyes!”

Nowadays, everybody recognizes the health risks of trans-fat, hydrogenated oils and monosaturated fats, but Dr. Todd was among the first to also know that the right kind of fatty acids are good for the health of the eyes.

And you will find them in Ocu-Omega!

Ocu-Omega
is an ultra-pure, molecularly distilled Fish Oil Concentrate that won’t leave a fishy taste while providing you with the highest quality essential fatty acids that your eyes and your body require.

In addition, Ocu-Omega contains Lutein and Zeaxanthin for additional anti-oxidant protection for your eyes.

Sure, you could pay less for fish oil tablets somewhere else, but will you be sure that their are not contaminated with toxic levels of dangerous substances? (Click to read more.)

Current research confirms the benefits of the fish oil you’ll find in Ocu-Omega:

The National Eye Institute research found that patients with Macular Degeneration who consumed high amounts of Omega-3 were 25% less likely to progress to vision loss. *

According to Tufts University, women who consumed fish rich in Omega-3 at least once a week had a 15% lower risk of cataracts. *

According to Harvard Medical School, women with the highest levels of Omega-3 in their diets reduced their risk of dry eye syndrome by 20% to 68%. *

The experts agree that getting the Omega-3 fatty acids will help you see better – and for longer.

If Omega-3 is so important, then why isn’t it included in the comprehensive EYEMAX-plus formula?

Because you can readily get it from your diet: all you need is two servings a week of cold-water fish (mackerel, herring, sardine, tuna or salmon [wild Alaskan salmon is preferred over Atlantic and farmed varieties]).

But if you’re not getting Omega-3 from your diet, then it’s vitally important to the health of your eyes that you supplement with the highest quality you can find.

So, if you can’t (or won’t) eat two servings of fish a week, then use Ocu-Omega to give your eyes what they need.Ocu-Omega has both types of omega-3 fatty acids in the right amounts to be completely beneficial: Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) in the amount of 350 mg., Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) in the amount of 650 mg and total Omega-3 fatty acids in the amount of 1,200 mg.

These nutrients are required in high levels in the brain and retina for optimal neuronal visual acuity, in young and old alike.

Added Bonus!

Lutein and zeaxanthin are also added to this formula. You get them in EYEMAX-plus, but they’re both so important for your eye health that we wanted your eyes to get even more when you take Ocu-Omega.

The fish oil that is used in Ocu-Omega is derived mostly from wild-harvested, small fish such as anchovy and sardine. This is generally considered to be desirable, as the potential contaminants often found in larger fish have not had the time or ability to concentrate as they move up the food chain. Furthermore, after being removed from the fish, the oil is subjected to a process of distillation, which aids in the elimination of contaminants. However, the most important factor in ensuring that the Omega-3 fatty acid products we offer do not pose a risk due to PCB contamination is the fact that the oils used in our soft gels conform to the voluntary monograph published by the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN). This monograph sets forth limits for heavy metals and other contaminants including PCBs. The limit set for PCBs is < 0.09 ppm for the sum of the PCBs identified as IUPAC numbers 28, 52, 101, 118, 138, 153, and 180. Consequently, the Omega-3 fatty acid supplements offered by Douglas Laboratories do not present a risk with respect to contaminants that may be present in certain fish.
